My Fab Finds for 2009

As 2009 ends, I've gone through all my salescapades and listed my FAB Finds for 2009.

Third on my list would be my Guess Wallet, got it for P500 only. Check my posting about this.

Second, would be the Military Jacket I got from PRP, for only P500. Read that post.

and the Ultimate FAB FIND, a Ferragamo Eyewear, for only P1700, from P17000. It was from a Sale last November in Pasong Tamo--Nice Trends. A peer from the office informed us of this Sale and being a saleaholic, I went and relied on GoogleMaps to guide me. And Voila! It was a bazaar of Eyewears [Gucci, Ferragamo, Rayban, and a lot of CKs, to name a few]. They also had Timex.

Click on Follow on the right side of this site, so you'ld get an update if New Trends would have another sale. =)

Happy New Year everyone!

Outlet Store|People are People

People are People is a good store for alternatives to Casual Dress-up. Instead of Regular, plain Longsleeves, you can get a hyped up Shirt from this store.

From Plain shirt to striped, uberly printed shirts.

Love this store! But specially this Outlet Store, wherein Discounts range from 10% to even 70% at some items.

WHERE IS IT:

This store is in Robinson's Galeria, Ortigas, second floor. There are two PRP stores in this mall, one is the regular, pricy boutique, which is in the main building. The Outlet Store is found in the Annex, parallel to Kenny Roger's. If you are fronting Kenny Roger's, go to its left wing.

AMBIENCE:

The outlet store is not a Boutique store, so don't expect the same spacious stall. There are only two fitting rooms, and the place may get crowded during peak hours, like 5pm onwards.

The clothes are hanged up on racks around the stall. Classy Tiangge style. =)

WHAT YOU CAN BUY:

MEN's

  • Shirts [Ranging from P199-P399]
  • Pants [Starts from P700]
  • Black Casual Shoes [Starts from P900]
  • Jackets [Starts from P500]

LADIES'
  • Tops
  • Pants
  • Jackets
  • Shoes/Sandals [Starts from 500]
  • Dresses [Starts from P300]
  • Accessories [Starts from 150]
Let me know what you got from this store, I'll post pictures of what I've bought on my next updates.

Happy Shopping.

Outlet Store|Guess

Alimall, in Cubao, had undergone a major overhaul, and is still undergoing several more changes.

Robinson's Starmills|Outlet Stores

This will be a Long Read, so let me get over the stores I dropped by:
  • All Flip Flops [Havaianas]
  • BrandSmart [Lacoste, Armani Exchange, Polo RL, Nine West, Calvin Klein]
  • Guess
  • Mango
  • Plains and Prints
  • Sports and Fashion [Nike, Gas, Sisley, Benetton]
  • American Rag [Terranova and other unrecognized brands]

I went home during the holidays and passed by Robinson’s Starmills, which is VERY visible when you take the San Fernando Exit of the NLEX. This is fronting SM Pampanga.

Just to set your expecations, Robinson's Starmills is not filled up with glam stores. It so happened, it just has Outlet Stores, the second floor of the mall, if not for the FoodCourt, Department Store, and some Gadget store, would be empty.

All Flip Flops [Havaianas]
They have two shops[see picture above]. On the left is the Outlet store, and on the right, is the regular store. Let me focus on the Outlet store.

[Good]
They have several designs for you to choose(well, at least on the day I was there, imagine Summer)

[Not So Good]
Discounts are only at around 20% to 30%. Was thinking of bigger discounts, but that’s what they only offer.

BrandSmart
I love this store. BrandSmart is from the Store Specialists which carries imported brands, such as Lacoste, Armani Exchange, Polo RL, Nine West, Calvin Klein to name a few. I’ll share on another blog other branches they have in Manila—So Subscribe. =)

A few years ago, I was able to buy Armani Long Sleeves for about P500 to P700. That was like Heaven.

When I visited, their Long Sleeves go for about P1090-P2000, from P4000.

Nine West shoes are at P2500 from P5000.

For Lacoste, they carry a very wide range of Bags, for a not so Bad discount, some are ranging from 10% to 20%.

They also have Liz Claiborne accessories.

Guess
This one is an Outlet Store, discounts are really good. A pair of Pants can go below P1000. Wicked!

They sell Men’s, Women’s, Children’s Clothings, and Accessories.

A watch can go 50% off. But if you feel that Robinson’s Pampanga, I’ll share a Guess Outlet Store which maybe near you. This, of course, via another Blog, so keep subscribing. =)

Mango
Last Season’s fashion, yet, they carry a lot of Cuts and Designs, from Tops, Skirts, Pants, Accessories, Bags, Eyewear, Belts, etc. All that you can see in a regular Mango Store, can be found here, as long as you’ve seen them last season. =))

This, by far, is the Outlet Store in this mall, which has the most number of Items on Display. Second is Guess, Third is Plains and Prints.
Discounts are good, from 10% to 50%.
This is where I usually buy my Best Bud, her usual gift from me, Mango Stuff.
Happy New Year MSH.
Btw, I posted recently a blog about Mango on Sale, check it out for the participating Branches.

Plains and Prints
For the corporate people, or people who need casual, semi-formal to somewhat formal clothes, this place is a good stop.

Aside from the 50%, they also have an ongoing promo of “Buy 3, for P997.50”. Cool, Aye.
The cuts are not so Last Season. You can always mix them with a good accessory.
Click here to view my previous post about Accessories at a Cheaper Price.

Sports and Fashion [Nike, Gas, Sisley, Benetton]
This store is a disappointment.:(

It says it has about 4 brands, yet, it only has Nike Stuffs, and the worst news, only the shoes are saleable, the other items, are almost near UKAY UKAY condition.

See Jacket in the picture.

Their shoes are priced relatively fair, some are at 50%.

There are other better Outlet Store of Nike compared to this one.

American Rag [Terranova and other unrecognized brands]
I strongly feel that the store already gave up on Terranova and is just waiting for the store to just close. Hahaha.

This was previously Terranova Outlet Store, now, it’s just included as one of the Brands It carries, though the other three, I haven’t heard of.

Their men’s line is very edgy, reminds me of PRP[People are People].

I'll be posting other Outlet Stores, so subscribe or follow me on twitter, my next ones would be
  • People Are People
  • Guess

If you know of other Outlet Stores, shoot me an email at saleandalternatives@gmail.com.

One Ring to Rule them all, with Bracelets, with Earrings

A chic store, Girlshoppe, found almost in any tiangge and some malls, actually carries very good Women's Accessories, for a cheaper price.

For the Guys, these are Good gifts for your Ladies. Now, you just need to figure out how to buy them without appearing weirded out.

For the Ladies, these are your best alternatives to expensive ones, such as those carried by People are People, etc.

Chunky Rings go for P95.

Bracelets/Bangles range from P170 to P195, per set of three. You can mix them up together.

Earrings go from P70 to P95 only.

DSLR Lenses for rent

Was happy to see this.. But for now, they only cater to Canon users-- Nikonians, sorry.

Boots, Boots, Boots

A friend of mine wanted a pair of boots, and boots she got-2 Pairs.
We went to Trinoma.

At the Landmark Department Store, she got this pair for around P1,800, a good pair, which is a very good alternative to Zara's below:

LandMark's P1800

Zara's almost P4T

She also got a pair from Babo as well. This was a Fab find, it was only for P725, it was on 50% off. They are still on sale. They can be found near Starbucks inside the mall, besides People are People. Nice Cutout Details.

Salescapade | Converse

December 4, 2009. We went there at around 7pm. It was held at SM Megamall's Megatrade hall.

There were rows of shirts, jackets, bags, Headbands, wristbands, caps, and as usual the highlight would be the Chucks. Some are on 70% off...

This would be my first pair of Chucks from Converse, and to choose which among the piled up shoes, I had to go through a lot of stress.

Rows for shoes were defined according to shoe size, so I was stuck with Row 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, and sometimes peeping at 10, if there were any good styles.

Worst things I've seen during the sale, were Bags from Converse, which are so FUGLY! Darn, who would ever think that square bags are cool? Square cut of cloth with strings.

There were a lot of shoes, Basketball ones [seen as Astronaut shoes], Chucks, and sandals. I stuck with Chucks.

Below were my choices:

Then, I found Monogram Chucks. Cool!

But then, I had to see another buyer wearing a Black Leather set of the same Monogram, so I went again around the rows of shoes, looking for the pair. I only found a size 7.5!!!
As seen on my face, the desperation and disappointment of not seeing them, my shopping buddy asked one of the Sales Clerk for the shoes, if those 7.5s have a bigger brother.
After waiting for a couple of minutes...

Now, another problem, Red or Black?

After much thinking and repeated wearing of the pair, I brought home...
